For the procrastinators or general Valentine’s Day naysayers, Kate Spade offers some terrific and unique Valentine e-card solutions. Check them out here. Since I missed sending my Valentines out in the mail on time, I think I’ll be busy on Kate Spade’s website tomorrow!

While you’re visiting Kate’s site, be sure to go to her Things We Love page (be patient for the flash) because it’s got some great little clicks to waste some time learn something new in some interesting places!

etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

I may be a little late to the Etcetera Media party - I just found them via Supermarkethq! - but I am smitten. Smitten, smitten, I tell you. Particularly since I received my little Working Class Heroes laptop case (so beautifully constructed), I have really latched on to all things good wool. It looks like Etcetera uses upholstery wool felt from Knoll - hurrah! How great is that? I think I may remember seeing Etcetera’s wool wine bottle “rack” in or on Dwell…

But they really had me hooked from the get-go with their beautiful bags. Have I mentioned that I need a new bag? Preferably something sturdy enough to carry around the MacBook + extra junk, and over-the-shoulder, and why couldn’t it be something like the above “Common” bag from Etcetera (above)?? GORGEOUS green with little exterior pockets and lined with an attractive grey that would complement my laptop case. (My only question - can I easily swing this over my shoulder?)

There are other options from Etcetera - if you’re as smitten as me, you can buy direct here.

The Blackstone, above, looks like it could certainly fit the laptop; I just wonder about the rest of my junk!

etceterastockholm

Above, the last bag in their collection - the Stockholm. No fear, it also comes in green (and a great brick red)! They really have such beautiful colors and combinations. And since the fabric is from Knoll, you just know your design-self would be doubly-super-cool.

Etcetera Media has some other greats, including little two-tone card holders, money holders, medium-sized “stuff” holders and file folders. Admittedly, I have generally been against anything other than a regular old manila file folder (no color coding or paisley files here), but if I could store my regular old manila file folders in their green and grey cases, oh, I would be hap-happy.

more alphabet montages!

Just discovered Supermarkethq.com, another great resource for finding new artists, or, as they say: “Great Design. Straight from designers.” I found it tough to pull away from the great bags from Holly Aiken (I seriously need a new bag - more to come on that soon), but when I did, I was thrilled to find a few interesting alphabets! Supermarkethq is very cruise-worthy - LOTS of interesting jewelry, furnishings, stationery, and, did I mention the great bags?!

First, the montage above named “Apple, Bicycle, Cow” is from Gregoire Ganter. He has additional prints available (try “Anchor, Boy, Crab” or “Airplane, Butterfly, Clock”) as well as individual prints of the letter + its image counterpart.

Next up is this terrific design classics alphabet poster from BlueAntStudio.com. What a great collection! I’m curious about how Eames was the only one to earn some color, rather than the striking black and white silhouettes otherwise used.
