Today will be a little bit of a lighter blog day, as I’ve got a job interview this afternoon. Don’t want to offer too much more information as that may jinx it (?)… but I did buy this cute cardigan sweater in red from Anthropologie as an interview “treat!” Wish you could see the lining in the picture - a really cute print fabric I’ll have to take a picture of. But fashion is really so off topic and I couldn’t be less of an expert, so, moving on…
Next week, I have an appointment to visit a letterpress printer who is willing to show me his studio and collection of presses, equipment and type and I’m so thrilled. He also has the Chandler & Price Pilot tabletop platen press available that he’s offering for sale, so I may be 200+ pounds heavier next Wednesday.
I’m looking forward to profiling some of my favorite letterpress printers soon, providing a little run-down guide of some terrific dining chairs and presenting a few calligraphers/illustrators I’ve recently come across (gorgeous lettering).
In the meantime, if you’re interested in letterpress, have you had an opportunity to visit the updated Briar Press site? It seems a wee bit slow right now, but I love their new design tweaks and bold little letterpress photos! And what a wealth of information for anyone interested in letterpress…
