In my mind, I have a little store. And in my store, I have paper and notecards but apparently there is an awful LOT of felt. I’m just looking around (at my imaginary store) and apparently I have stocked it nearly chock-full of felt products. Die-cut felt. Woven felt. Felt rugs. Felt bags. Felt cases. Felt key rings. Felt greeting cards. Felt cushions. Felt scarves and felt pillows. I’m so stocked full of felt in my imaginary store that I either need to change it’s name to something like “Felt Emporium” or I need to have an imaginary felt blow-out sale.

But before I have that sale, I just need to make one more purchase for my store, because I just came across the gorgeous range of wool felt products from Parkhaus in Berlin. Pictured at top are their vibrant die-cut coasters (available in a wide range; they’d make great trivets or placemats, too!) - nothing beats a colorful array of felt polka dots, if you ask me. A little piece of heaven!

Above is a smattering of some of their felt boxes in some rich colors and classic greys. That outer seam on the boxes on the right makes me happy - is it weird that a seam can make a person smile? And the woven one… I’d started knitting some wool into a big rectangle a while ago (when a knitted sweater project went bad) with the intention of felting it, cutting it into strips, and weaving it (like above) into a pillow front. That hasn’t quite materialized yet (duh, don’t knit it, just buy the felt), and I’m not sure whether I’m now more inspired to work with felt or if I’d rather just leave it to the pros like Parkhaus!

Thinking about little Easter gifts yet? It’s surprisingly right around the corner. Above are some precious little felt eggs and neat swallows that would make a perfect add-on to an Easter basket.

Look at the super cute die-cut felt keyrings! They have a big selection, and also have die-cut letters (hoorah!) for keyrings or to create banners of names or words.

It looks like they will soon be opening an online store so it will be easy to buy. Of course, if you’re lucky to be in Berlin, you can visit their showroom! Or, for those not in Berlin, you can sign up to be notified when it’s functional. I’m so signed up.

In the meantime, I’ll be working on my imaginary order for my imaginary store and thinking about their wide range of colors available (below).
