vtwonen

Super big love for the color chart provided by Dutch design magazine VTWonen - they have such infectious enthusiasm over Blauwst! Azuurst! Groenst!  It’s still grey and dull here in Michigan, so I’m all about Rozigst! Roodst! Zonnigst! Geelst! right now.

Color charts are easily on my list of top 10 favorite things ever - even the color chart for Lands End polo shirts makes me smile. I’d prefer to spend time ogling the yarn color cards at knitting class… rather than knit.

marieclaire

And a beautiful pigment mixing chart, via Marie Claire Maison, above. Who needs an inspiration board if you could have schmears of those hand-mixed colors?

fermob

The color chart for Fermob’s classic French bistro furniture makes it so hard to choose a favorite! I’d love to have a pair of lounge Luxembourg chairs in Verbena. No, make that Hibiscus. Er, maybe Carrot would be fun. Okay, Fermob, make that a pair of each! (Psst - they’ve introduced #14 - Nutmeg as a new 2008 color - a super-classic and durable taupe that will “go with anything.” So, maybe… Nutmeg + dozens of swappable colored pillows?)

parkhauscolors

Mmm… felt in great colors to choose from at Parkhaus, above.

pantone

And of course, give me a Pantone color chart or book to stare at any day. Bringing me to Lowe’s or Home Depot with you? You’ll find me sneaking around in the paint chip aisle.

hello, sweet pea

I thought, hmm… do I have a thing for peas? when I saw these lovely greeting cards featured in Poppytalk. My mom is always coming up with new nicknames for me, but “peapod” is one I hear often. So I’m thinking these would make great gifts for the peapod in your life!

Above, one of a set of 3 greeting cards designed by Blossom Creations in Australia; they also have maple seeds and sycamore balls, with complementary envelopes and a little kraft paper bag. Printed in beautiful metallic tones (Australia is in autumn now, right? But I think these are good for year-round!).

rockpaper

I’d also been hanging onto this cute little sewn peapod picture pouch from Kata Golda available at Rock Paper Scissors, a fantastic stationery store in Charlottesville, VA.

yeehaw

If you’re like me and either don’t really know the difference between a peapod and a beanpod (or, maybe, don’t really care - for the purposes of design, they’re similar enough, right?), you can also enjoy fresh farm vegetables letterpress printed by Yee-haw Industries (above left).  (Yee-haw also has a lovely new spring tree greeting card collection - be sure to check out here.)

sweetbeans

Since I’m yapping about peas and beans, just had to throw on a fresh, crisp logo I have hung onto and admire - from Sweet Bean’s, an etsy seller.  (Oh, P! could use a great little logo like this, but pickles don’t have the great little ornamental squiggles… sad.)
