I’m headed to my first calligraphy class this afternoon, so I’ve been checking out some very inspiring calligraphy and lettering this morning - it’s good to have something to aspire to!
Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls has a delightful calligraphy style and and also creates precious little illustrations and maps. (Above is the menu from her website, for which she created all the lettering and images.) She recently completed work on a new project with Chronicle Books called “The Perfect Note,” an all-in-one stationery kit:

I adore all of her little doodles, squiggles and tendrils - Maybelle’s sketches and the pictures in her portfolio have me totally inspired and excited for calligraphy class this afternoon. Don’t they just make you want to grab a sketchbook??
